The field of criminal justice focuses on understanding criminal behavior and keeping public order. The Criminal Justice program presents the primary functions of prosecution, trial, corrections, and their related duties. This program also offers training in crime scene analysis, evidence handling, safety, and inmate control. The program offers courses in forensics investigation and uses crime scene scenarios to introduce you to skills in investigation and preserving crime scenes. In the forensics labs, you can receive training in skills such as fingerprinting and blood detection.
When you complete the 24-month Criminal Justice program, you'll be awarded an Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Science degree depending upon the campus you attend. If you want to continue your Criminal Justice education, you may qualify for enrollment into a Bachelor of Science program (available at select, on-campus, locations or online from other Remington College campuses). The Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degree programs will prepare you for entry-level positions or advancement in security, corrections, or loss prevention careers.
